Questions You Might Have Before You Come

  • Where and when do you meet? We meet on Sundays at 9:15 and 11AM at 260 E. Pages Lane, in Centerville, UT 84014. What should I wear to church on Sunday? While you are free to wear anything you want, most people dress casual (jeans, sandals [when not freezing], etc.) Do you have classes for my kids? Yes! We have steller nursery, pre-school and elementary-age classes for kids. We try hard to make sure kids have a good time, are safe, and get a good foundation for faith. We also have a youth group for junior high school and high school students that meets on Tuesday nights at 7pm.

  • What Bible translation do you use? While each person is free to use whatever Bible translation they choose, we teach from the English Standard Version (ESV). The ESV is a great English Bible that is an "essentially literal" translation of the Hebrew Old testament and Greek New Testament.

  • How long is the service, and what is it like? Our Sunday morning service typically lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes. The music is generally up-beat/contemporary. We try to vary our style somewhat; some Sundays we might have a full band with guitar, drums, electric guitar, etc, and other Sundays it may just be Marshall with a guitar. After a time of praise and worship, the pastor gives a sermon. Generally, we teach through a book of the Bible or section of scripture over a period of weeks, though sometimes we break for a few weeks and study more topical issues.  You can listen to past sermons HERE

  • Do I have to be a member to serve or take communion (sacrament)? No, you do not have to be a member to serve at The Bridge Community or take communion. Some volunteer positions (children's) have an application and background check required, but most do not. Communion is generally taken on the first Sunday of the month, and is available to all those who have trusted in Jesus alone for eternal life.

I Want To Get More Invovled

First of all, we're glad you've been coming and excited you are ready to take another step forward.

We'd challenge you to head over to our "connect" page and see if one of the three ways listed there would be a good "next step" for you.  If you are already connected in those three ways and you are looking for more ways to connect, we'd challenge take a look at the mission work we support and pray about taking on a more active role in supporting our community and our world through those agencies.

You are always welcome to support this church financially.

Other Ways to Connect

Aside from the three primary ways we hope people would connect to the church, there are other connection points.  Take a look at the list below for a few other ways you can be involved.

  • Youth Group

Youth group meets at The Bridge Community on Tuesday nights at 7pm. Here are some things you'll find at youth group:  Jr. high and high school kids hanging out,  Ping Pong , Music, Bible teaching , Donuts , Small group discussion,  Crazy games, etc.

  • Men's and Women's Bible Study

Women's Ministry As a group, we’re learning that growing in Christ is less about what we know, or how religious we are, and more about who we are in Jesus. We would love for you to join us at some of our events listed below! Come as you are, be loved…wear loose pants (there’s always food)!  Thus study is on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month. Study starts at 6:30 PM at The Bridge Community's facility at 260 E. Pages lane, in Centerville.

Men's Ministry The Men’s ministry goal is simple, learn from God how to be the men He created us to be. Men meet for Bible study Tuesday mornings at the church 6:00 to 7:30am.

  • Short Term Groups

Each year we create new opportunities for spiritual growth through short term groups.  These range from marriage enrichment classes, to things like Financial Peace University or evangelism classes.  We'd love for you to take advantage of these opportunities as they come.

  • Outreach Activities

We try to engage our community in various ways, and we welcome our church family's involvement in those outreaches.  These activities include our annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) for kids, serving popcorn in the park at our cities "movie in the park" Summer series, and a variety of other things.
