Who We Are

The Bridge Community is a non-denominational Christian church in South Davis County, UT.  We have a relaxed atmosphere, and a serious focus on Jesus.  As a church, we are creating a place in South Davis County where followers of Jesus can stand together with those dissatisfied with life as they know it apart from the truth of the gospel.  We invite people to come as they are, and to take the next step toward Jesus .

What Drives Us

We desperately desire to see Davis County live out a passion for Christ by becoming a community where followers of Jesus: Reach, Teach, Grow and Go.

  • Reach out in service toward others. (Matt. 10:42, Luke 10:25-37, James 1:27, Gal. 6:10)
  • Teach others to delight in God and obey His calling in their lives. (Matthew 28:19, 2 Timothy 2:2)
  • Grow upward (in intimacy with God) and outward (in community). (Gal. 6:2, 1 John 4:21, 2 Peter 3:18)
  • Go and make disciples, seeking and saving the lost. (Matt. 28:19-20, Mark 16:15, Luke 19:10, Luke 15)

Our Staff

  • Loren Pankratz

    Lead Pastor

Loren grew up in the Central Valley of California (Fresno). He put some pucks in the goal, cheered for the Bulldogs (Go Dogs), and gave his heart to the Lord. Following high school, the Lord sent Loren to Chapman University in the OC (Orange County). During his time at college he grew in his walk with the Lord, learned lots of stuff, and met the most amazing woman in the whole world. Carrie is a wonderful lover of the Lord Jesus, and made Loren the happiest guy on the planet when she accepted his proposal for marriage. After getting hitched and graduating from seminary (Loren has much love for the PTS years), Loren was blessed with an opportunity to serve as the college pastor at New Covenant Community Church. It was during those 5 1/2 years as college pastor that the Lord blessed Carrie and Loren with two adorable children. The Pankratz family moved to Utah in 2010. Loren earned a doctorate of ministry from Talbot School of Theology in 2012, and a Ph.D in theology in 2020. Alongside his responsibilities as pastor of The Bridge Community, Loren has been employed as an adjunct instructor at a local college where he has taught ethics, philosophy, and logic. You may email Loren here. The Pastor may also be reached at (801) 941-0656.

  • Rob Scott

    Ministry Engagement Director

Rob was born and raised in Utah. He loves the outdoors, camping, hiking, and just being active. He also enjoys football, baseball, and basketball and is an avid Steelers fan. After seeing the Christmas movie, Die Hard at age 8, he has had a desire to work in Law Enforcement ever since. Rob's career has spanned over 20 years and has included roles in SWAT, Robbery, Homicide, Gangs, FBI Task Force and as Sergeant Detective with the Special Victims Unit. Rob is blessed with an amazing wife, Elayne who is his absolute best friend, and an even bigger Steelers fan. He is also blessed with 2 wonderful children: Asher (age 12) and Grace (age 9) and is hoping for more kids in the future. In 2008, after living a life void of any type of faith, he stepped into a non-denominational church for the first time and 4 months later, gave his life to Christ. In 2019, Rob and Elayne walked into the Bridge Community and immediately knew this was where God wanted them to be. They have been worshiping and serving here ever since. Rob loves Jesus. As he has lived a life without God, Rob understands the utter loneliness this brings and has a strong desire to lead others to Him and to see them grow in their faith. • Tom Earnhart

Associate Pastor of Worship and Care

Tom grew up in Northern Utah along the Wasatch Front (Layton). For as long as he can remember he has had a passion for seeing old things be made new (especially homes), and sees his life in a similar light in the hands of the Lord. He is a self taught musician who not only enjoys learning new instruments, but also putting them into practice on Sunday mornings. Additionally, he is passionate about passing along the things he has learned to others. Not long after surrendering his life to Jesus late in 2005, and watching the Lord save his amazing wife Jaime soon after, the Lord called Tom to serve in ministry. After completing a two-year internship, he was ordained as a pastor in 2011. Over the course of his ministry he has been blessed to serve in pastoral and worship leading roles, in church administration and finance, as a chaplain, as well as in the areas of audio/visual and technology. Tom and Jaime have been married since June of 2000 and have two awesome adult children, Braylee and Rylan. Tom earned a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in 2022 and is passionate about continued education, growth, and development for himself and for those he serves in the church. • Kevin Llanos

    Associate Pastor of Adult Ministries

Kevin grew up in the Central Valley of California, and came to faith in Christ during high school.  He started working for the Fresno Police Department in 2000, and during the police academy he met the second (only to Jesus) greatest love of his life, Brooke.  He and Brooke were married in 2003.  They have 2 amazingly awesome daughters, Lilly and Felicity, both of whom are adults now.  Kevin was injured in a collision at FPD, resulting in his medical retirement in 2009.  During this time, Kevin and Brooke started working with Pastor Loren in college ministry at New Covenant Community Church, and since that time they’ve been coming out to Utah annually to help The Bridge Community during VBS week.  After his retirement, Kevin went back to school at Liberty University and finished his BA in Biblical Studies.  He was re-hired by the police department as a background investigator, and then later worked as a police chaplain.  During this time, Kevin went to seminary at Liberty University and obtained his Master of Divinity in 2017.  Kevin spent 8 years as a police chaplain, ultimately becoming the Senior Chaplain of the Fresno Police Department.  In 2019, Kevin and Brooke moved to Madera County and, by God’s leading, planted Redemption Hill Community Church.  RHCC was an amazing experience for the family, but God had planted seeds for Utah that were coming to fruition.  God moved Kevin and Brooke out to Utah in the spring of 2024 to take part in the ministry that’s happening at The Bridge Community.  If you have any ministry or counseling needs or have any questions about faith in Jesus, you can reach out to Kevin here.

  • Rylan Earnhart

    Youth Ministry Director

Rylan grew up in Sunset, Utah before moving to Layton, Utah where he has been living for the past 14 years. In high school, he was a very competitive debater and learned how to win any and every argument. As long as he can remember, Rylan has had a deep passion for education and pouring wisdom into teenagers. After graduating from Northridge High School in 2022, he chose to attend the University of Utah where he is currently studying math education in hopes to teach high school math/physics. After accepting Jesus as his savior in high school, Rylan understood the importance of faith for teenagers and has a mission to serve the youth. Throughout his time at the Bridge Community, Rylan has served in both worship and children’s ministry, and is now working closely with youth and mentoring them in their spiritual growth. His number one mission is to help students and families recognize their need for Jesus and provide practical skills on how to follow him. If you have questions about youth ministry or if you need immediate assistance, you can reach Rylan here.

  • Kat Morfitt and Betzy Mulwee

    Children's Ministry Directors

Kat grew up in Boise Idaho and was active in her local church where she grew a heart for missions and teaching. For as long as she can remember she has always wanted to be a teacher and is passionate about making the Bible come to life. After bouncing around Southern Idaho, she went to school at Utah State University and here she fell in love with Utah and realized that this was where she was meant to be. After graduating with her bachelors in Elementary Education and Special Education, Kat moved to Salt Lake to teach here and help rewrite the negative narrative students have told themselves by applying Biblical principals in her classroom. Throughout the years Kat has helped lead children’s, youth and college ministries. When Kat is not in her classroom she is often spotted either at a local coffee shop or on a trail with her coffee in hand with some friends.

Betzy grew up in Guadalajara, Mexico.  She was born in a family that seeked to honor God through their relationship with Jesus Christ.  At the age of 9 years old, Betzy accepted Jesus as her Savior, and at 11, she gave testimony of this through her baptism.  Throughout her life, she has continued to seek God and follow him fully.  She moved to the US when she was a teenager, and during this time, God opened many doors, which included, pursuing her education in B.S. in Early Childhood Education, and a M.S. in Educational Leadership.   It was also during this time, she found her life partner, Chris Mulwee, and God has now blessed their family with two little ones, Uriah & Alora.
